A BEAUTIFUL SMALL VILLAGE

Image
HANLE - A REMOTE CORNER OF LADAKH There is a beautiful small village in Ladakh named as 'HAN LE' which is situated near the INDO -CHINESE border. One of the world's highest site telescope is located at the INDIAN ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY in HAN LE. This place is not known to many people and does not have any great hotels for accommodation but one can avail the facility of HOME STAY. The local people of Hanle have created rooms for the tourists besides their own homes. One can hardly choose hotels over home stay because of the down to earth and polite people always ready to help :) As there is no basic network available, these people are disconnected from rest of the world and are only surviving on primary occupations and tourism.  The home stay where I stayed was a totally beautiful place with almost all facilities the owner could provide in that remote village. The owner and his family took great care of us and served tasty home cooked food. For breakfast he served us Aloo...

THE PERFECT CLICK

SPEECHLESS BEAUTY This looks like a cover of a notebook or a laptop wallpaper, isn't it? But this is A PERFECT CLICK of one of the most beautiful places in INDIA that is THE PANGONG LAKE located near the INDO-CHINESE BORDER. One can witness numerous shades of blue colour in the lake. It is a perfect place for photographers like me who await to capture the beauty of nature. LADAKH is such a place that proves "NATURE IS GOD" in its every single corner. The peaceful environment makes your mind calm and helps you to get rid of all the worries which you carry along in the cities. You start believing in the miracles of nature as you start to witness it. Also the freezing cold temperature of around -5 to -10 degree celsius is absolutely a noteworthy addition :) But this place is truly worth visiting. Highly recommended for photographers.

BEAUTY OF KASHMIR

The Magnificent DAL LAKE  This beautiful place situated in between the snow covered mountains is the MAGNIFICENT DAL LAKE also known as SRINAGAR'S JEWEL. The freezing cold water is so pure that you can literally see the plant bodies throught it. On the banks of Dal Lake, there are small boat like cottages known as the HOUSE BOATS which are preferred by the tourists to enjoy the marvellous scene of DAL LAKE. These House Boats have proper accommodation facilities and are carved with intricate and beautiful carvings. Local sellers and artisans use the means of floting market for selling their art works. 'SHIKARAAS' are small boat like structures used for travelling from one bank to another.  This beautiful place is worth visiting. It really helps you to calm and relax your mind! I would love to visit DAL LAKE once again :)

VIEW FROM THE AEROPLANE WINDOW

WELCOME TO TRAVEL BLOG!                                           LOOKING FORWARD TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES! I did a lot of research on it actually. I wanted a perfect shot of sunrise from the window of the airplane. And yes, I succeeded in doing so. My dad had to carefully book the seats in the right side of the plane so that I capture such beautiful scene. (after taking off from the Mumbai Airport, we can see the rising sun clearly on the right side).
